What does religion say about beauty and appearance?
Hi i would like if possible some quotes and experiences from various holy books etc about the notion of beauty and appearance.
I would also like to know if anyone thinks that being religious makes you carefree about your appearance and if anyone thinks religion can wholly satisfy a womans need for confidence through looking good.
I am a 25 year old woman, i like to look presentable-not excessive and it has been suggested to me that if i were more religious my need to be happy with my reflection would be somewhat non existent. I beg to differ, i think religion can help but it is within most people to want to maintain a certain level of appearance thus boosting their confidence at all times. For example i do have faith but if i practiced more i am pretty sure that i would still desire to be happy with my appearance when i look in the mirror, as i am a creative person and i like to make the most of what i have been given.
