Help- Im a nerdy guy. How do I learn to dress hip?

I’m completely fashion challenged. I have recently become interested in correcting this short-coming. Where I can find examples and advice on how to buy clothes to create a young, hip, attractive look? I am aware of four general mens styles now. GQ, Skater, Emo, Hip-Hop. I sure that are infinite subcategories within these. Feel free to correct me. I cant really afford to dress GQ everyday. I’m more interested in a distinctive youthful every day look that girls will appreciate. When i walk into a room, I want girls to notice and appreciate my style. I do not know what brands or styles of clothing to buy. I do not know how to put together an outfit to achieve this look. Any photo examples of good mens styles would be great. Also the brands, stores and advice to achieve these looks would be very helpful.
