What’s the best hairstyle for a person with a big forehead?

I have brown hair, and a large forehead. I want to know what’s the best hairstyle to ‘hide’ the forehead or make it look smaller apart from a ‘bang’, because I already tried it and it looks strange. Would short hair or long hair suit me?
